About Semen

What we normally call as Cum is also called as Semen or Ejaculate. To most people, this is the ultimate end product of the whole sexual process. Composition
Semen is actually a mixture that comes from four sources in a male's body.

4. Pre-ejaculate fluid (or pre-cum) from the bulbourethral glands, approximately 1-3% of total volume.

Nutritional Value

Semen consists of mostly liquid hence its nutritional value is pretty much minimum. It contains a fractional amount of fructose and glucose of approximately 38g/L. That would be something like 1.5 sugar cubes for your cup of tea. It also contains some micronutrients including sodium, calcium, potassium. The actual amount could vary on each person's diet and lifestyle.

Volume and Consistency
A study done showed that the average semen volume is 3.5mL which is a little less than a full teaspoon (1 teaspoon is approximately 5mL). The bottom 2.5% of guys have semen volume of up to 1.2mL while the top 2.5% of the guys have semen volume of at least 7.4mL. However, I have personally witnessed 2 guys filling up a shot glass to the brim. I have also observed that volume and strength of the ejaculation is affected by the consistency. Guys who shoot a lot and stronger (more like spraying or shooting) tend to have watery and clearer semen. Guys who shoot less and not as strong (more like dribbling) tend to have thicker semen. The frequency of ejaculation also affects the strength of ejaculation and the semen consistency. Some guys prefer to drink thick semen due to the richer or "creamier" taste. Safety
Semen can be the vehicle of many sexually transmitted diseases. These diseases may be transferred via body fluid exchange. Oral hygiene is of utmost importance prior to performing oral sex. Brushing or flossing teeth, however, is not advised as doing so may cause microscopic bruises which enable transmission. Anal sex must be carried out with protection at all times. If there is no viable transmission path in the mouth or throat, the semen itself is safe to be ingested as gastric acid will take care of the rest.

Taste
Semen taste depends largely on diet and lifestyle.

• Alcohol and caffeine cause bitter taste
• Smoking causes bitter taste
• Fruits that are high in sugar can help to offset the bitter taste and sweeten it
• Vegetables except broccoli, cauliflower and asparagus will help
• Red meat and dairy products cause salty taste
• Heavy spices such as garlic and onion and egg yolks are high in sulfur and should be avoided

In other words, body builders and fit/muscular guys tend to have salty semen. Vegetarians tend to have sweeter semen. Smokers and coffeeholics should be avoided.
